Sean Mills, Cape Town Field Editor and fishing guide 16 May 2001 It feels very nice - light, robust and
determined looking with plenty of space for backing. It certainly looks as though it will
last a lifetime if properly cared for. It also seems to have enough clout to stop a marlin
(eventually). It certainly looks man enough for any leervis that swim in the our waters,
not to mention the king fish in yours! Nice reel! Well done and good luck! |

The reel I received was designed to be used on 9 weight rod, but I had tested it on a 12 weight to prove a point. I passed the reel and rod on to my clients to use on a 12 day Mozambique fly fishing trip last April. The reel worked all day every day and without fail and caught more fish than many salt water reels have caught in their life span. Fish such as Kingmackerel, barracuda, kawa-kawa, bloodsnappers, Queenfish and a wide range of kingfish species were no match for the smooth cork drag. After 12 days of not servicing or rinsing it, the reel still appeared stain-free and as smooth as ever. This reel is a robust, user-friendly, value for money, South African product that I would recommend to fly fishermen who are after the average salt water game fish species. |

15 June 2001 The nice thing about your reel as that it can be used for both 8wt and 10wt outfits. That is a good advantage. A lot of first-time buyers start with an 8wt, but they do tend to upgrade to 10 wts later on. By buying your reel, they only have to upgrade the rod. The fact that it allows for a lot of backing is an added bonus. See Gerard's full review of the F100 Flyreel by clicking here: |

Rod sent in this picture of a magnificent Kob taken on fly. This was one of 24 fish of similar size taken that day! |

The mail came through - Received the reels - now need to go try them out. The reels seem bomb proof, only thing I might suggest is a click mechanism - though not necessary, certainly nice to have in the line out mode. Drag seems strong - plenty for an 8wt.!! |

| Justin Parkfelt July 2002 I bought your reel about a year ago and was extremely satisfied with its and corrosion defence and it's price, it is my first choice for saltwater angling as it offers they same excellence as a Tibor reel with out emptying your entire bank account. |
